SYNOPSIS

No one sees more of Hong Kong on a daily basis than a taxi driver. Shot entirely through the windshield of a taxi, the one and only character in the film is Hong Kong, a city where the director Zhengfan Yang spent five years living as an outsider. The city’s varied faces as well as the state of its people are delivered through 13 off-screen conversations between the driver and various passengers - a stressed out bank employee, two tourists from Mainland China, a British expat, etc. This film examines the city's past, present and future through the exploration of its moving landscape, unveiling the alienation and confusion of its people after the political reform. A “road movie” in a time of crisis.
